Your Side Hustle Will Not Be Free. Lucky for you, find cash in unlikely places with this list.

The dream will have to wait.

I just don’t have the money.

Have you uttered those words? Maybe more than once?
You have got the business idea. You have drawn up the plans. You have searched out the vendors. You’ve built time around your schedule to work your side hustle. Dreaming comes easy to folks like you, girl.

But unfortunately, at this point, that’s all this incredible gift, thought, or world-changing idea is... a dream.

A dream, that I hate to break it to you, will not be free. Outside of the expected disciplines like working harder than you ever believed you could work, waking up at unbelievably early hours of the morning, and putting on leadership pants you didn’t know you owned... It’s going to cost you money. Hard cold cash. Moo-lah.

Need $1,000 before the weekend? Use this list to brainstorm and get to work.

No matter the amount of supplies stored up in your garden shed or how minimal you swear your overhead will be, at some point in this business-building-adventure, you’re going to have to drop some cash. Cash that you might not have freely available in your household income.

Never fear, I’ve certainly been where you are and, in fact, have never built a business any other way. If I knew I needed a website, a certain advertising platform, or supplies, I pushed up my sleeves and got to work (on making that necessary cash, not on my business, just yet).

You might be wondering, “Jordan, you just told me that to make money in my business, I have to make money. Isn’t that the point of having a business? Why would I go make money somewhere else?”

Of course! You go, do, and spread all of your amazing talents all over the world, but those first few steps to launching will require some green and if you’re super strapped for cash, these are fool proofs way to get $1,000 in your pocket by the weekend, depending on how willing you are to think creatively, use a little elbow grease, and market your own skills.

No matter how talented or DIY-crazed you are, your side hustle is not free. It will come at a price (a price that often looks like subscription services and shipping costs) and I’m here to make sure you don’t freak when you realize you might have to choose between the website or your electricity for the month.

Spoiler-alert: Choose electricity and keep those lights on.

I can guarantee this list is a better option for finding side hustle money than having your lights cut off.

This is the list you’ve been waiting for (and I promise you haven’t thought of some of these ideas!)
